ANZ is set to launch a street art project that will see large scale murals appear on unused walls across Sydney, recognising local people with inspiring stories to tell. Four of Australia’s most celebrated street artists Stormie Mills, E.L.K, Adnate, and Kaff-eine will bring to life portraits of Nathan Hindmarsh, Father Dave Smith, Jenny Munro and Katherine Hudson.
Each of these local identities were chosen as they have left a positive mark on their community, and changed things for the better:
- Father Dave Smith – professional boxer helping at risk youth
- Katherine Hudson – advocate for gay and lesbian rights
- Jenny Munro – founder of Redfern Aboriginal Tent Embassy
- Nathan Hindmarsh –advocate for ending violence towards women through his community involvement with NRL One Community and his association with White Ribbon.
The artists will begin painting from 20 June on walls in Sydney’s CBD, Parramatta, Haymarket and Bondi Junction.
